Terms of use

These terms of use (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of the SUTOM game, on the sutom.fr website and the iOS and Android mobile apps. By using SUTOM, you accept these Terms. They are supplemented by the legal notice, the privacy policy and, for the community space, the community guidelines.

SUTOM is a word game offering a daily word and various game modes, plus an optional community space. The service is free; it is funded by advertising and optional purchases.

Playing requires no registration. Access to the community space requires a nickname (and, in some cases, an email address) and is reserved for people aged 15 or over. You are responsible for how you use the service and for the accuracy of the information you provide.

SUTOM offers optional purchases: credits (a virtual currency usable within the app, with no monetary value and not convertible into cash) and a premium “ad-free” option. These purchases are made and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are also subject to those platforms' terms. Except where mandatory law provides otherwise, purchases of virtual goods are non-refundable once delivered.

You agree to use SUTOM in accordance with the law and these Terms. In the community space, the community guidelines apply. In particular, you must not disrupt the service, access it through unauthorised automated means, misuse it, or infringe the rights of others.

SUTOM, its brand, interface and content are the exclusive property of Straw Technologies and Lexi. Any unauthorised reproduction or exploitation is prohibited. Content you post in the community space remains yours; you grant SUTOM a non-exclusive licence to display it within the service.

SUTOM may show advertising and links to third-party services. We are not responsible for the content, products or practices of those third parties.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may change, suspend or discontinue all or part of it, without incurring liability as a result.

To the extent permitted by law, SUTOM is provided without warranty of being error-free or uninterrupted. Straw Technologies and Lexi shall not be liable for indirect damages arising from the use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you hold under mandatory legal provisions.

How your data is processed is described in our privacy policy.

You may stop using SUTOM at any time and delete the app. We may restrict or suspend your access in the event of a breach of these Terms or the community guidelines.

We may amend these Terms. The applicable version is the one published on this page; continued use constitutes acceptance of the changes.

These Terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge. Failing an amicable resolution, the French courts have jurisdiction.
